Italia

Today we left Austria. We crossed though the beautiful mountains into Italy. We made one stop along the way to this beautiful chapel. It displays some transitionary art from medieval to Renaissance. The art covers the walls and ceiling of the chapel. It was done by artist giotto. It was amazing. He used lupis lazul which is a stone and very expensive. It would have cost less to gild the chapel than it did to make that paint. We could only spend 15inutes in the chapel before it needed to be destabilized.
After that B. and I wandered through the streets of Padova. (Daddy you will be glad to know that my directional skills have improved drastically since the time I got lost all the way in the getto. I'm actually really good at it.) we sat by a river and tanned. We got lunch and two servings of gelato for under €5! It was cool. We also had this drink called Lemon Soda. It's so good. A really strong lemon flavor. It's suprisingly good though.
We set off late because 6 girls got lost and took over 40 minutes to finally find the bus.
We comtinued to drive and finally reached Florence. Here, they call it Firenze. It's really cool here. Bridges and beautiful
Buildings. I use the word beautiful a lot but it's true! Everything is very aesthetically pleasing haha. We went to the Acedmia which is a museum and we saw Michelangelo's David. He is massive. It's so interesting that his head and his hands are disproportionally large. He is beautiful sculpted. Everything is prefect. There were a lot of medieval art in there as we'll. Whvh is pretty, just in a different way. Very interesting. After that we took a brisk hike across the city to this restaurant. It was soooo good. I over ate. After that we went and got gelato again! It was so good! I got marscapone swirled with nutella. It's called Santa T-serving. It was really good. Even my lactose intolerant friend could have some of the Albert. It was over all a good plan.
Right now were doing laundry. There's only one tiny washer, so it's a bit hard. But we will prevail! Tommorrow is mostly a free day. We are going to hike to the top of the Duoma! IRS been hot here so I also plan on wearing a skirt tomorrow.
Fun fun fun!
